How does conversation tagging by chatbot work?

The conversation tagging by chatbot works in a very easy way. You can check it below by yourself.

This feature is available in PRO and Ultimate packages only.

 

Creating a conversation tag for the chatbot

 Click on a chatbot message of your choice then ActionsAdd actionTag conversation as → choose a relevant tag → Publish your chatbot 

How does it work in practice?

The tag you selected for the chatbot message will appear for that conversation after a visitor clicks on that tagged chatbot message through the Smartsupp chat box and send you a message. It will look like this:

  • chat box
  • dashboard

So the result is that the conversation is tagged automatically.

Warning: The text field needs to be enabled. Otherwise, the tagging by chatbot will not work.

 

How does contact tagging by chatbot work?

The contact tagging by chatbot works in the following way.

Creating a contact tag for the chatbot

You can create the contact tag for the chatbot in the same way as for the conversation tag. Don't forget to publish your chatbot and make sure the text field is enabled in your chatbot. You can check more about it here.

How does it work in practice?

The contact will be automatically tagged by the chatbot after the visitor clicks on the pre-tagged chatbot message and sends the message. The contact form will then be launched and the visitor will fill in their contact information. The chatbot then automatically tags the contact in the dashboard.

Tip: You can then filter your contacts in Contact Hub using tags.
